What Is Medical Gothic?
Let’s call it… a passion project, an academic interest, the monster that is consuming me. Medical Gothic is both a work of creative/performance art and a framework through which I approach the Gothic genre of literature.
Medical Gothic is a way of thinking about the everyday terror of the medical institution, the unfair treatment of marginalized bodies and their inhabitants in medicine, and the euphoria of finding belonging among others who embrace the medical uncanny.

About the Author
Robin (or “creatur”) holds a B.A. in English from Clark University, with minors in Biology and Creative Writing.
When they’re not writing, Robin enjoys backpacking, crafting, and playing guitar. They can often be found perched on the very edge of their desk chair so that their beloved cat can use the rest.
